I made this last year as a memorial for William Dunkerly, a soldier from the Cameron Highlanders of Ottawa who was killed on D-Day. The regiment's insignia is to the left of the poem opposite the Tudor rose representig his home county in England. The church in the background is one of the facades of the Bayeux Cathedreal. He died shortly after the invasion. Illustrator, Gr 10.
